My work in visual art concentrates on oil and watercolor painting, and ceramics. I was born in the United States and studied Fine Arts and Photography before moving to Spain to study design. In Barcelona, I discovered Asian philosophy and medicine, which ultimately led me to spend eight years on the Asian continent. During five years in China, I learned to speak Mandarin and began incorporating Chinese characters and philosophy into my paintings.
I initially studied ceramics at university in the US, and later apprenticed in Jingdezhen, China. All my ceramic pieces are hand-built or wheel-thrown, and hand-painted. I aim to incorporate world mythology and symbolism into my work, concentrating on cross cultural parallels.
I hold a certificate in Tibetan language, and speak Mandarin, Spanish, and English. My artwork has been exhibited in the United States, Greece, China, Spain, Italy, and Egypt.
